A great example of what happens when space defines architecture. In Tokyo, that's more likely to happen than anywhere else. This building is just two windows wide on its south end, while the north end is less constricted and expands to fill the space available. The building is clearly split into its main components -- hotel and office space. The lower half of the building features long, wide windows. The upper stories are uniform rows and columns of square portholes common on other hotels in the area. In between is a row of double-height windows that allow natural light to stream into the hotel's sky lobby. The building is topped by a crown that protrudes over the edges of the building.
